Handtied Bouquets:
Firstly, enjoy your flowers! Be sure to smile at them every day and savour their sweet scent.

  1. Remove the packaging which has protected them on their journey.
  2. Choose a vase and wash it thoroughly with soapy water.
  3. Add cold water and the flower food sachet to the vase.
  4. Remove any excess leaves which will sit below the waterline. The leaves also draw water and nutrients so it is best to remove the ones you don’t feel enhance your arrangement. The leaves can also make the water go murky faster so it is best to only have stems within the water of the vase.
  5. Don’t cut the string that holds your bouquet together. Your flowers have been designed and styled for you so keep this on.
  6. Snip 2cm off the end of all the stems with scissors. Try and cut at an angle. This increases the surface area for your flowers to drink from.
  7. Place your bouquet straight into the vase of water.

Make sure to take out any deteriorating blooms when you notice them.

  6. Place your Foliage into the vase first to make a bed that you can then nestle the flowers into.

After 3 days your flowers will need a bit of a refresh.

Rinse the stems.
Run the flower stems under the tap to clean them.

Change the water.
The water in your vase will get cloudy, so give your flowers some fresh water to drink.

Trim the stems again.
Cut approximately 2 cm off the end of each stem at a 45 degree angle.
